Northern Red-legged Frog Rana aurora  Baird & Girard, 1852

Taxonomic Comments:

Frost, Grant, Faivovich, Bain, Haas, Haddad, De Sá, Channing, Wilkinson, Donnellan, Raxworthy, Campbell, Blotto, Moler, Drewes, Nussbaum, Lynch, Green & Wheeler (2006. The Amphibian Tree of Life. Bulletin of the American Museum of Natural History 297: 1-370) retained this frog in the genus Rana. CNAH has adopted the standard common name, Northern Red-legged Frog, for this taxon, in order to distinguish it from Rana draytonii.
